February Happenings

A picture of my rose for Valentine's Day!
Richard took Cade to see the Harlem Globetrotters at the Spokane Arena.
We took both of the kids to see Playhouse Disney Live at the Spokane Arena. They got to see Little Einsteins, Tigger & Pooh, Handy Manny and Mickey Mouse.

Painting the Basement

I think the basement has been finished for about two years, but we finally got around to painting! This is a view going down the stairs. The walls are khaki and the wall in the kids play room is red.

This is the kids play room, cluttered with toys. One red wall and the rest are khaki.
The TV room has a blue wall that you can see behind Richard's new TV!!
Dapper Dan is sitting on the couch checking out the blue wall in the TV room. We also painted the bedroom in the basement the same khaki color. Reservations are now available in our freshly painted basement!

Cade had his 6th Birthday party a couple weeks ago. Of course we went bowling. Uncle Justin was able to secure the rec. center at SFCC where he works, so we had the place all to our selves for about 4 hours (Cade bowled for atleast 3). We tripled up on the Birthdays, as Kambel and Justin joined in as well, although Justin wouldn't stand with the kids when we sang Happy Birthday.

Here's Cade in action on one of many throws down the lane.

A quick break for Cade as he scarfs down a slice before he's allowed back on the lane. Justin was standing guard.

As you can see many people showed up to help celebrate.

Finally, Cade and Kambel opened gifts, Cade's counting his cash.

Again, thank you Justin for getting the rec. center for us.

Watch out, Michael Jordan

We signed up Cade for basketball through the Cheney Parks and Recreation Department. He had his first practice on Thursday and his first game today. He was so excited! There are 10 kids on his team (the blue team) so they rotated every few minutes. Here he is doing jumping jacks for warm-up (he is in front by the coach with black pants). The coach with dark hair used to work with Kenny Harris at the U of I. Cade's other coach is Stephanie Luke from Nezperce. Small world!

Cade is in action, trying to get open to catch the ball.

Cade is doing a great job dribbling, even while walking! Of course, he also wants to play soccer and T-ball and maybe even karate. I believe today starts the rest of our life attending sporting events!

Little Red Corvette?

Well, not really, it's actually a 2004 Ford Explorer! We finally "upgraded" to an SUV! Farm Credit auctions off our company vehicles every year after they hit a certain mileage. This one we bought was at our Burlington, WA branch which is north of Seattle. Richard flew over last night, stayed with Blaine, then picked up the Exploder this morning. It will be nice to have 4 wheel drive with all this snow! We are also very excited to have a vehicle that can pull a tent trailer! And of course just haul all of our crap...

Heavy snow!

Across the road from the back of our house, we have a big field. In the field there are a couple of metal sheds that we think used to be chicken coops. After five feet of snow, the roof collapsed on one of the metal sheds. Unfortunately, the shed was used to store boats and other recreational equipment for other people! They have not been able to assess the damage yet.

This shows both sheds in the picture so you can see what the flat one used to look like. We also just happened to have a beautiful sunset tonight!

Merry Christmas

We went to Nezperce for Christmas this year. The kids had a great time and of course got loaded up with presents!

Cade got a new fishing tackle box from Grandpa (he is playing with the flashlight).

Good thing Santa brought Cade the green elephant Power Ranger he asked for in his letter!

Ragan got a new Cabbage Patch doll named Nanci (she already had the baby Cabbage Patch doll named Macy).
