Unfortunately, they were doing more eating than picking!!
The strawberries were really big and sweet this year. We'll be making lots of jam tomorrow!!
And we even ate at Mo's twice!!
Believe it or not, we actually got to see some whales, too! They were spouting around that boat in the picture although I couldn't get any pictures of it. We had a great time!
The next morning we went back at low tide and we could walk all the way around the island.
On the other side of the island was an ancient forest that was visible at low tide - those are old stumps sticking out of the beach.
As you can see, Richard's dad is standing next to an old stump that is over six feet tall!!
If you look behind Cade and Ragan, you can see how far out the tide was - those rocks were covered with mussels, starfish, and anemones.
Our first stop on the drive to the coast was at Multnomah Falls.
When we finally made it to Lincoln City, we found this staircase (132 steps!) was our access to the beach!
We ventured out of Lincoln City to Newport the next day and visited the aquarium. Cade was even in one of the exhibits!
