Heavy snow!

Across the road from the back of our house, we have a big field. In the field there are a couple of metal sheds that we think used to be chicken coops. After five feet of snow, the roof collapsed on one of the metal sheds. Unfortunately, the shed was used to store boats and other recreational equipment for other people! They have not been able to assess the damage yet.

This shows both sheds in the picture so you can see what the flat one used to look like. We also just happened to have a beautiful sunset tonight!

Merry Christmas

We went to Nezperce for Christmas this year. The kids had a great time and of course got loaded up with presents!

Cade got a new fishing tackle box from Grandpa (he is playing with the flashlight).

Good thing Santa brought Cade the green elephant Power Ranger he asked for in his letter!

Ragan got a new Cabbage Patch doll named Nanci (she already had the baby Cabbage Patch doll named Macy).

Snow Storm

What a snow storm! You can't see in the picture of the kids on the sled, but they are basically sledding through a tunnel on the sidewalk. The snow at that time was at least a foot deep.
This was our first round of shoveling this morning.
The BBQ has a lot more snow piled on it now. The snow has finally lightened a bit but I think we'll be snowed in for a while without 4 wheel drive.
The yardstick on the back deck measures 21 inches.

Winter Nonsense

I went to a cookie exchange which required 6 dozen cookies so the kids helped me decorate cookies!

Paper plate snowmen!

And now we finally have real snow! No real snowmen, yet.... maybe when the storm stops tomorrow!

Ralphie?

We finally got our first snowfall so the kids had to go outside and play even though it was only 22 degrees! The snow was too dry and icy to make a snowman. They didn't last long so we came inside and made cookies!

Oh Christmas Tree

The kids decided to wear our stockings since we don't have a fireplace to hang them on!

Our Christmas tree....

Wii-inter

We bought a Wii a few months ago - Cade is addicted! His favorite game right now is Mario Kart although he is the best Wii bowler around!

Ragan is taking gymnastics at her school. Her teacher thinks she is a natural. We're not sure where she gets that from!

We hosted Thanksgiving at our house and even braved the Black Friday crowds!
Of course, we had to play more Wii during Thanksgiving! Ragan kicked my butt at boxing!
