Catcher Cade

At Cade's t-ball game yesterday, he got to be the catcher for the first time. Can you tell that's him inside all that gear? He ended up walking like a robot!

Ragan is his number one fan, although she usually would rather be playing on the playground equipment by the baseball fields....

Selway Falls

Over Memorial weekend, the Selway River was flowing really high so we took a drive up to see Selway Falls. It was an amazing sight that just couldn't be captured on film, but this picture is still pretty.

We drove past the falls to the Meadowcreek campground. Here we ran into one of my high school classmates. I promised I would put his mug on my blog!

Fish on

Grandma Di and Grandpa Leroy came to visit us camping. Grandpa took the kids to Fenn Pond for some fishing. Cade caught a catfish! Not worth eating, but still fun to reel in a fish!

And Ragan always seems to catch the same blue fish on her Barbie pole....

I caught a catfish and a small trout. Cade thought it was funny to stick his thumb in the trout's mouth after Grandpa cleaned it.

But he was still mesmerized by all those snails....

Snakes and snails and puppy dog tails...

Memorial Day weekend was our maiden voyage in our new tent trailer and everything worked! We should have purchased one a long time ago!

We had a great time on the Selway River and great weather. On our first day, Cade caught this frog. We went for a walk and when we came back the paper plate had blown off the top of the frog's container and the frog had escaped.

So on our next walk Spencer found a snail and thus began our never ending search for snails over the weekend. Cade was mesmerized for hours just watching the snails.

By the end of the weekend we had found over 50 snails. We only let him bring 4 home and they are surprisingly still alive!

Mother's Day 2009

First we headed to REI for some Mother's Day shopping, then we spent some time at Riverfront Park since we finally had nice weather! Ragan couldn't wait to ride on the carousel!
A day at the park isn't complete without going down the red wagon slide!

O'Doherty's is conveniently across the street from the red wagon, so I got to have my favorite sandwich for lunch - the Hooligan & Hannigan. It was awesome! For dinner, we made my favorite chile rellenos with spanish rice. We even made homemade salsa and guacamole. We had some leftover cheese so we even made deep fried cheese sticks. We topped it all off with a strawberry margarita! Yum! It was a great day!!
